Talk to anyone who knows a thing or two about stocks, and more often than not the name Jim Cramer will come up. Cramer is the host of the successful CNBC TV show "Mad Money," as well as the co-founder of TheStreet.com, a trading/investing web site. He doesn't stick to any one investing strategy, although his reasoning for recommending stocks is usually pretty logical.

This site is an attempt to answer the question: Is Jim Cramer a stock-picking genius or is he just some raving old fool?

To answer this, we'll be tracking (almost) every stock featured on Cramer's show "Mad Money" in a virtual portfolio. We'll analyze statistics and formulate theories based on what we find. Of course, the ultimate goal (besides the obvious question) is to make money. Does the Cramer Effect really exist? Does it help or hurt stocks? Bookmark this site and come back soon - we may have an answer for you then.
